The programme of the concert includes English music spanning the 16th to 20th centuries, including William Byrd’s Praise the Lord All Ye Gentiles, Bob Chilcott’s Days, and Ralph Vaughan Williams’ Over Hill, Over Dale, as well as popular songs from Disney films.
Founded in 1968 and named after King’s College in Cambridge, the ensemble consists of six choral scholars, two countertenors, a tenor, two baritones and a bass.
Among the many renowned composers who have written pieces especially for The King’s Singers was Poland’s Krzysztof Penderecki.
Down the decades the group has performed in Poland many times to both popular and critical acclaim.
